Nevado de Tolima 2018

I met Adela in Bogotà when I became part of a bookclub. Adela and I had a lot in common. We were both runners, yogis, loved books, art and poetry, white wine, dogs, good food and laughing a lot and last but not least we were both very talented in making up songs. When we went on a trekking tour in the beautiful unique landscape of paramó to the glacier of Nevado del Tolima we were making up songs allday long. Maybe not the most beautiful singing, but full of joy and enthuasiasm. In the end our guide asked us very respectfully if we are in the music industry. That made us proud! Adela moved then to Switzerland and I went back to Germany. We never stopped exchanging messages and met from time to time to what we called "wine-skyping". We were still making up songs and poems and I loved her way of beeing creative and funny at he same time. Besides the fun, we always had a lot of serious conversations often about our concerns regarding the future with all the dramatic changes in the world. Adela, I really miss you. I took our connection for granted at least for 20 more years. I am so so sorry that I will never meet you again. I think a lot about the moments we spent together and I am very thankful for every single laugh we had. I love you and I will never forget you. Jutta
