My new friend, Adela

I was introduced to Adela in Geneva at a birthday lunch, as a fellow Californian, fun and wine-lover. As I learned she was an avid and impressive backpacker, I invited her for a hike in Chamonix, where we huffed and puffed to the top of Les Mottets! During the few years she lived in Geneva, we shared a lot of laughs and red wine over lunch and later, sleepovers in my new place in Valais. I missed her when she returned to the U.S. but hoped to continue our friendship there, maybe with an outdoor adventure together. I will miss Adela forever!
